16x48 Teton Cabin

Discover the skilled craftsmanship of this 16×48 Teton Cabin, which our team completed in Sheridan, WY. This cabin was built for a customer who was moving from Hawaii to Wyoming to begin retirement. Moving from the tropical pace of Hawaii to the open skies and mountain landscapes of the West called for a home that felt grounded, comfortable, and enduring from the moment it arrived. She also ordered a greenhouse and garage, which were delivered before the cabin.

Project Info

The 16 x 48 Teton Cabin was built as a fresh start for retirement in the wide-open beauty of Wyoming. From the warm hickory cabinetry to the spacious living area anchored by a large picture window, every detail was selected to create a welcoming place to settle in and feel at home.

Key Features of the 16×48 Teton Cabin:

  • Western Comfort: Finished in Cedar Natural Tone log siding with a Dark Gray metal roof and white frame windows, this thoughtfully designed cabin combines rustic western character with refined interior comfort.
  • Timeless, Durable Exterior: Finished in Cedar Natural Tone log siding with a Dark Gray TufRib metal roof and crisp white frame windows, the exterior captures the timeless look of a western mountain home while offering the durability and low maintenance benefits homeowners value for long-term living.
  • Elegant Kitchen: The kitchen combines warmth and sophistication with rich hickory cabinetry, Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold countertops, and a classic white farmhouse sink paired with a high arc faucet. Oil rubbed bronze fixtures throughout the cabin add timeless character that complements the rustic setting beautifully.
  • Outdoor Living: A covered 4 x 16 front porch centered between the two wings creates a welcoming entrance and a quiet place to enjoy fresh mountain mornings and cool evenings beneath the wide-open sky.
  • Open-Concept Interior: Inside, the layout was carefully planned to maximize both comfort and functionality. The open concept kitchen and living area create an easy, natural flow throughout the home, making the space feel inviting without ever feeling oversized or wasteful.
  • Loft Space: Rather than serving as simple storage, the loft creates a true secondary living space that can easily function as a guest retreat, hobby area, reading loft, or quiet workspace during retirement years. A shed dormer adds natural light and valuable headroom, making the upper level feel open, comfortable, and fully usable.
  • Year-Round Comfort: Heating throughout the home was designed for year-round comfort with Comfort Cove units in Almond, baseboard heat in the loft, and a chimney kit roughed in for a future wood stove.

The Teton Cabin is more than a place to live. It is a place to settle in, slow down, and enjoy the satisfaction of a beautifully crafted home built for the years ahead.
